Why is cooking together a great gift? Cooking can be adventurous and inspiring, and if you use the right ingredients, it can also induce feelings of love and produce and elevated mood. If you’re in Denver Colorado, check out a class at The Uncorked Kitchen for some delicious and romantic dishes. If you can’t get reservations, make your own romantic dining experience at home. Here’s my own recipe for a sexy appetizer to get you started:
Kaya’s Strawberry Teasers
The only thing sweeter than the juicy kiss of a strawberry is one bursting with this light creamy filling.
2 pounds hulled strawberries
12 ounces cream cheese, softened
¾ cup light brown sugar
½ teaspoon almond extract
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, brown sugar, and almond extract; beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until well combined, scraping down sides of bowl as you go. Cut an “x” in tops of strawberries, being careful not to cut all the way through. Transfer the mixture to either a pastry bag or plastic bag with tip cut off, or use a spoon to fill each strawberry with desired amount. Indulge your senses in this sweet bite size aphrodisiac delight!

A day at the spa may seem like a routine Valentine’s Day gift, but that all depends on where you go, and who is giving the treatment.
